Sourcing Cabinets From Vietnam Guide: The Manufacturers You Should Know

Vietnam is one of the world's leading countries in cabinet manufacturing, with well-established factories producing kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, storage units, and commercial case goods for export. If you are looking to source cabinets, Vietnam should be on your shortlist, but finding the right factory requires more than a Google search.

In short, Vietnam's cabinet manufacturers range from large, automated operations producing thousands of units per month to smaller workshops specializing in custom woodwork. Most export-focused factories are concentrated in Binh Duong and Dong Nai provinces near Ho Chi Minh City. Minimum orders typically start at one to two full container loads, and the best factories hold certifications like KCMA, FSC, and CARB-2.

Vietnam's wood and forest product exports totaled approximately $17.3 billion in 2024, ranking it as the largest furniture exporter in Southeast Asia. Cabinet and case goods are a major segment within that total, and the industry has grown rapidly as international buyers diversify away from single-country sourcing. Having worked on furniture and cabinet sourcing projects for clients since 2014, I have seen this landscape evolve firsthand, from a handful of export-ready factories to a mature industry with dozens of serious players.

Why Vietnam for Cabinet Manufacturing

Three things make Vietnam a strong option for cabinet sourcing specifically.

First, the raw materials are local. Vietnam has large acacia and rubberwood plantations that supply the domestic furniture industry directly. This gives factories a cost advantage and shorter lead times compared to manufacturers that rely entirely on imported timber.

Second, the trade agreements matter. Vietnam is part of both the CPTPP and the EVFTA, which reduce or eliminate import duties on Vietnamese-made goods for buyers in the EU, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, and other member countries. Tariff rates vary by importing country and product classification, so always check the latest rates for your specific market before calculating landed costs.

Third, the factory base in this category is mature. Cabinet manufacturing has been a core strength of Vietnam's furniture sector for over a decade, and many of the factories listed below have been exporting for 15 to 20+ years. These are not factories that recently pivoted to cabinets. They have invested in CNC equipment, automated finishing lines, and quality management systems specifically for cabinetry.

Top Cabinet Manufacturers in Vietnam

This list includes some of the most visible and established cabinet manufacturers in Vietnam. It is not a comprehensive directory. Many of the factories that turn out to be the best fit for a specific project are mid-sized operations that do not appear in English-language searches. This list is meant to give you a sense of the landscape, not to replace proper factory vetting.

Casta

One of Vietnam's largest cabinet-focused factories, founded in 2002 and headquartered in the south. Casta operates two facilities totaling approximately 100,000 square meters and runs European machinery from SCM, Homag, and Cefla. They hold BSCI, BSI, ISO, and KCMA certifications and specialize in high-volume kitchen cabinet orders for wholesalers and contractors. Their primary export markets are Asia and the US.

Cabinetry Factory

A kitchen cabinet manufacturer producing 100% in Vietnam with locally sourced materials. They specialize in American-style solid wood RTA kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities for the US market. Their cabinets meet KCMA standards and use CARB/EPA-compliant materials. Production capacity is approximately 70 x 40-foot containers per month of flat-packed cabinets, with a production lead time of 50 to 60 days. MOQ is one 40-foot container per color/style.

Vina Cabinetry

Manufactures kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities exclusively for export to America. They produce both face-frame and frameless styles using solid wood, MDF, HDF, plywood, and particleboard. All materials are sourced from Vietnamese suppliers with no Chinese-origin components. MOQ is two 40-foot containers per door style and color, with roughly 800 flat-packed cabinets fitting per container. We have worked with Vina Cabinetry on client projects and found them to be a reliable option for buyers focused on the US market who need fully Vietnamese-origin product documentation.

Hongzhou & Hongsheng Cabinetry

Operates factories in both China and Vietnam, with a facility in Binh Phuoc Province, Vietnam. They produce a range of cabinet styles with five automatic painting lines and a 1,800-meter lifting line. They maintain US warehouses from California to New York with stock cabinets available at no MOQ for stocked models. For custom orders, they offer OEM services and full quality control.

Giai My P&B Co., Ltd

Founded in 2019 by engineers with over 20 years of cabinet manufacturing experience. Located in northern Vietnam, they produce both cabinet boxes and doors entirely in-country, from wood cutting to painting. They use Sherwin-Williams paints and emphasize full Vietnamese origin to avoid tariff and anti-dumping complications.

AA Corporation

A larger diversified company specializing in interior fit-outs and furniture manufacturing for both domestic and export markets. They handle cabinetry as part of broader interior packages, particularly for hospitality and commercial projects. AA Corporation is recognized for sustainability certifications and high-volume production capacity. We have worked with AA on client projects, and they are particularly strong when the scope goes beyond standalone cabinets into full interior fit-out packages where cabinetry is one component of a larger order.

Scansia Pacific

Produces Scandinavian-inspired furniture, including cabinets, with a focus on certified sustainable materials, particularly FSC-certified teak wood. Their primary export markets are Europe and the United States. We have sourced through Scansia Pacific, which is a good fit for buyers who need FSC-certified products and a clean, modern design language, particularly for European retail or hospitality projects.

What Types of Cabinets Can You Source From Vietnam

Vietnam's cabinet factories produce a wide range of products. Here is what you can realistically source.

Kitchen Cabinets

This is the strongest category. Vietnamese factories produce standard base, wall, and tall cabinets in both American face-framed and European frameless styles. Modular and custom kitchen cabinetry are both widely available. Kitchen cabinets make up the bulk of Vietnam's cabinet exports, particularly to the US market.

Bathroom Vanities and Cabinets

Bathroom vanities are a growing segment. Most of the larger kitchen cabinet factories also produce bathroom vanity lines with moisture-resistant materials and finishes. Medicine cabinets and over-the-toilet storage units are also manufactured, though typically as part of a broader order rather than as standalone items.

Storage and Wardrobes

Wardrobes, shoe cabinets, and general utility storage cabinets are produced across many factories. Custom storage solutions are common, especially from mid-sized manufacturers that are more flexible on design specifications.

Commercial and Hospitality Case Goods

Vietnam has a strong base of manufacturers producing case goods for hotels, restaurants, and retail. This includes display cabinets, buffet servers, and custom commercial storage. The hospitality furniture segment has grown significantly, with many factories supplying international hotel chains.

Office Furniture

Filing cabinets, desk cabinetry, bookcases, and shelving units are produced for export. This segment overlaps with the broader Vietnam furniture manufacturing industry.

Key Sourcing Regions for Cabinets in Vietnam

Vietnam's cabinet manufacturing is concentrated in the southern provinces, close to Ho Chi Minh City's ports and the country's deepwater terminals at Cai Mep-Thi Vai.

Binh Duong Province

Binh Duong is the center of gravity for furniture and cabinet production. The province hosts a dense cluster of large-scale, export-oriented factories with modern equipment and established supply chains. Many of the factories listed above operate here or in adjacent areas. Our office is in Binh Duong, and we regularly visit cabinet factories in the province. The infrastructure, proximity to ports (Cat Lai is about an hour away), and concentration of skilled labor make it the default starting point for cabinet sourcing.

Dong Nai Province

Dong Nai borders Binh Duong and has a strong woodworking tradition. Factories here tend to combine traditional craftsmanship with modern production. We have sourced cabinet and case goods projects from Dong Nai factories and find the region is a strong option for buyers looking for a mix of standard production and custom or semi-custom work, particularly for hospitality projects. For more on sourcing furniture for hotels and commercial projects, see our hotel furniture sourcing guide.

Ho Chi Minh City

HCMC itself has a large base of furniture trading companies and some manufacturing operations. However, factory floor space has been migrating outward to Binh Duong and Dong Nai, where land costs are lower. The city remains the commercial hub where most sourcing meetings, negotiations, and trade shows take place.

Binh Phuoc Province

An emerging location slightly further north of Binh Duong, where newer factories (including Hongzhou/Hongsheng's Vietnam operation) are setting up to take advantage of lower land and labor costs while maintaining reasonable port access.

Northern Vietnam

The north (including areas near Hai Phong and Bac Ninh) has a smaller but growing furniture manufacturing base. Giai My operates in the north, and the region offers competitive labor costs, though logistics to southern ports add transit time if shipping to the US West Coast.

How to Choose the Right Cabinet Manufacturer

Finding a factory that can make cabinets is easy. Finding the right factory for your specific project is harder. Here is what to focus on.

Certifications That Matter

For kitchen cabinets, KCMA (Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association) certification is the industry standard in North America. CARB-2 compliance is required for products sold in the US (it governs formaldehyde emissions from composite wood). FSC certification matters if your buyers or market requires sustainably sourced timber. ISO 9001 covers quality management systems. Not every factory needs every certification, but knowing which ones your market requires before you start vetting will save time.

MOQs and Container Math

Most Vietnamese cabinet manufacturers set their minimum order at one to two full container loads. A 40-foot container holds approximately 800 flat-packed kitchen cabinets, depending on the style and packaging. Some factories require two containers per door style and color to justify the setup costs. If you are not yet at that volume, look for manufacturers with more flexible MOQs, or consider a sourcing company that can help you find the right fit.

Shipping costs significantly affect your landed price. Get quotes for both 20-foot and 40-foot containers based on your actual order volume, and factor in the per-unit cost difference when comparing manufacturers.

Materials and Finishing

The most common cabinet materials in Vietnam are rubberwood, acacia, MDF, plywood, and various laminates. Solid wood cabinets cost more but appeal to the premium segment. MDF and laminate options are more cost-effective for mid-market positioning. Pay attention to the finishing process. The best factories use automated spray lines with climate-controlled rooms and regularly calibrate color consistency. Ask about the finishing setup during your vetting process.

Vetting Beyond the Website

A factory's English-language website tells you very little about its actual production capabilities. If you are serious about a manufacturer, visit them or have someone visit on your behalf. We have a full guide to visiting factories in Vietnam that covers what to expect and how to prepare. At a minimum, request product samples, check references from existing export clients, and verify their certifications independently.
