Section 122 sunsets on July 24, 2026. The 10% global surcharge is statutorily limited to 150 days from February 24, 2026. Goods landing in Q3 or Q4 may face a different rate stack. USTR opened Section 301 investigations into 16 economies on March 11, 2026; country-specific Section 301 rates may replace Section 122 starting late summer. Model multiple scenarios for any shipment arriving after July 24.

What this calculator estimates. Duties for goods imported into the United States, based on US trade policy as of May 5, 2026. Tariff rates shown reflect the current 10% Section 122 surcharge (effective February 24, 2026, expiring approximately July 24, 2026), Section 301 surcharges on Chinese-origin goods, and applicable USMCA exemptions. The calculator does NOT model Section 232 (steel, aluminum, copper, autos), antidumping or countervailing duties, or product-specific exemptions. If your product falls in those categories, your actual rate will differ.

Section 232 stacking rule. Products primarily made of steel, aluminum, or copper currently face a 50% Section 232 tariff on full customs value (effective April 6, 2026). Derivatives face 25%. Section 232-covered goods are exempt from Section 122 (no double layer). Autos and auto parts face a separate 25% Section 232 tariff. If your product is metal-intensive, do not use the rate shown here without consulting a customs broker.

Section 122 sunset risk. Section 122 expires July 24, 2026 unless Congress extends it. The President cannot extend unilaterally. USTR Section 301 investigations into Vietnam, Thailand, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Taiwan, South Korea, and others are scheduled to produce findings before the sunset. Model post-July 24 scenarios separately for any shipment arriving in Q3 or Q4.

IEEPA refunds. If you paid IEEPA tariffs between April 2025 and February 24, 2026, you may be entitled to a refund through CBP's CAPE process (portal opened late April 2026). First refund disbursements began May 11, 2026. Consult a licensed customs broker or trade attorney to file your claim.

De minimis eliminated. The $800 duty-free threshold for low-value shipments was eliminated globally on February 24, 2026. Every parcel now requires formal entry, regardless of value.

Disclaimer: This calculator provides estimates for goods imported into the United States only. Tariff rates shown reflect US trade policy as of February 26, 2026, including the 15% Section 122 temporary surcharge (effective February 24, 2026, for 150 days) and existing Section 301 and Section 232 tariffs. IEEPA tariffs (including "reciprocal" and "fentanyl" tariffs) were struck down by the US Supreme Court on February 20, 2026 and are no longer collected.

Tariff rates change frequently and may not reflect the latest policy at the time you use this tool. MFN base duty rates vary by product and must be looked up using your specific HS code. Section 232 tariffs on steel, aluminum, copper, automobiles, and other specific products are not included in the country rates above and apply separately based on product type, not country of origin. Some product categories (including critical minerals, pharmaceuticals, certain electronics, and energy products) are exempt from the Section 122 surcharge.

This tool does not account for anti-dumping or countervailing duties, foreign trade zone benefits, duty drawback programs, or product-specific exemptions. Importing into the EU, UK, Australia, Canada, or other markets involves different tariff structures not covered here.
