Simple Sourcing: one fixed fee, one product category.
Tell us what you need manufactured. We handle factory identification, vetting, and outreach, then deliver competitive quotes, typically 2 to 6 per product category, with original pricing and full contact details. Each package covers one product category. Packages start at $2,999 for a single country; every fee is fixed and agreed before kickoff. We source non-food products, including food packaging and food-contact materials.

Managing multiple products, suppliers, or recurring orders? The Dedicated Sourcing Office gives you a named team and one monthly retainer for an agreed operating scope. We define responsibilities, workload, reporting, and any external costs before starting. No Simple Sourcing project or Beyond subscription is required.

How does the fixed project fee work?
Simple Sourcing has one fixed fee for the agreed factory-search scope, starting at $2,999 for a single country. Multi-country packages and add-ons are quoted by scope. We charge no commissions or factory-price markups. Samples, shipping, tooling, testing, and separately agreed services have their own costs.
What does a Dedicated Sourcing Office cost?
DSO starts at $2,500 per month for an agreed operating scope. We define workload, responsibilities, reporting, and external costs before starting. You can engage DSO independently, without buying a Simple Sourcing project or Beyond subscription.
When can I start Beyond Sourcing, and what is the minimum?
Beyond is optional support for active and past Cosmo sourcing clients. It can start during a sourcing project or continue afterward. The rate is $60 per team hour, with five team hours/$300 minimum per enrolled month across selected workstreams. Additional hours require approval and are billed for actual chargeable time. Work already included in Simple or DSO is not billed again.
Are additional meetings chargeable?
For active and past sourcing clients, additional meetings with Jim outside the agreed scope are $180 per hour, subject to availability. We agree the fee before booking. These meetings are billed separately and do not count toward Beyond’s five-team-hour minimum. Sales calls, included project meetings, and normal project oversight carry no additional charge.
What do factory visits cost?
Factory visits cost $299 per day plus expenses. The day rate covers the agreed itinerary and a bilingual guide. Car, driver, meals, and other agreed expenses are billed at cost. A new supplier search, if required, is scoped separately.
How are you different from other sourcing providers?
Simple Sourcing uses a fixed project fee, original factory quotations, and direct supplier introductions. We do not take factory commissions or add a markup to factory pricing. When comparing providers, check their fees, scope, supplier access, and ongoing obligations.
Do I own the factory relationship?
You receive full contact details and direct introductions to the selected factories. You can communicate and place orders directly, or retain Cosmo for separately agreed ongoing support. Your service agreement defines any continuing commitments.
Which countries can you source from?
We have had teams on the ground in Vietnam since 2014 and Mexico since 2023, and we have sourced from China since 2012. We also source across Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. We agree the countries and product requirements before starting.
How long does a sourcing project take?
Most projects take about 4 to 6 weeks from kickoff to factory introductions, depending on the product, agreed scope, and supplier responses. We provide a project-specific estimate before starting. Sampling and production have separate timelines.
