The Top 12 Vietnam Furniture Manufacturers: How To Find The Right Factory
Vietnam is the world's second-largest furniture exporter after China, with wood and forestry product exports reaching $18.5 billion in 2025. For buyers looking to source furniture here, the challenge is not finding factories; it's finding the right one among the country's 6,000+ wood-processing and furniture-manufacturing operations.
We have been sourcing furniture from Vietnam since 2012, and the manufacturer landscape has changed significantly. Factories that were small workshops a decade ago now run CNC lines and hold FSC certifications. Others that look impressive online turn out to be trading companies reselling from smaller operations. The 12 manufacturers listed below are verified exporters with confirmed U.S. customs shipment records, supplemented by our firsthand sourcing experience with many of them.
Updated March 2, 2026
In 2022, Vietnam expoerted over $16 Billion in wooden goods, with furniture making up over 90% of that total.
What to know before reading this list:
Every manufacturer below has a verified export track record based on U.S. customs bill-of-lading data (shipment volumes, departure ports, and product categories).
These are established players, not necessarily the best fit for every project. Vietnam has thousands of furniture factories, and the right manufacturer for a given buyer is often a mid-sized operation that does not appear in English-language search results.
This list is a starting point for understanding the landscape, not a directory for cold emailing.
If you already know what product you need manufactured and want help finding the right factory (including ones not on any public list), that is what our sourcing team does.

Phu Tai Corporation

The company runs multiple large-scale factories with automated production lines for case goods, kitchen cabinets, and bedroom sets. Phu Tai is best suited for buyers placing high-volume orders (full container loads and above) targeting the U.S. and Japanese retail markets. Their scale means competitive pricing, but MOQs tend to be higher than those of smaller operations.

We often match clients with manufacturers at this scale when order volumes do not justify the MOQs at larger factories.
Shipment data: 179 shipments | 572 TEU | Ships via Vung Tau Specialization: Residential, office, and outdoor furniture, knock-down furniture Best for: Small to mid-volume orders, buyers seeking a responsive partner
Why Buyers Source Furniture from Vietnam
Cost Competitiveness
Vietnamese furniture manufacturing costs remain significantly below those in China's coastal provinces, the U.S., and Europe. After sourcing thousands of products across Southeast Asia, we consistently see landed cost savings of 20 to 40% compared to equivalent Chinese production, depending on the product category and material. That said, the cost gap has narrowed over the past several years as Vietnamese wages and compliance costs have risen. For a broader comparison across sourcing destinations, see our guide to top countries for furniture manufacturing.
Raw Material Access
Vietnam grows several furniture-grade wood species domestically. Acacia is the most widely used; it grows quickly in Vietnam's climate and is well-suited for outdoor furniture, flooring, and general indoor pieces. Rubberwood and eucalyptus are also common. For premium products, many manufacturers import oak, walnut, or ash from North America or Europe. Bamboo and rattan are also significant materials, particularly for eco-focused and outdoor collections. For a deeper look at what is available, see our guide to types of wood from Vietnam.
Manufacturing Scale and Capability
The major furniture manufacturing clusters are concentrated in Binh Duong Province and the broader Ho Chi Minh City industrial corridor, with a secondary hub in Binh Dinh Province in central Vietnam. These regions house thousands of factories ranging from 50-person workshops to operations employing 2,000+ workers. Many top factories have invested in CNC routers, automated edge-banding, and in-line finishing systems. The industry covers a wide range of furniture sub-categories: indoor residential and office, outdoor and patio, hotel and hospitality, kitchen cabinetry, and flat-pack/RTA programs. Whether you need solid-wood dining sets, upholstered seating, contract hospitality pieces, or knock-down furniture for e-commerce, there are factories in Vietnam with proven capabilities in each category.
Certifications and Compliance
Reputable Vietnamese furniture manufacturers increasingly hold FSC chain-of-custody certification, CARB Phase 2 compliance for formaldehyde emissions, and ISO quality management certifications. Depending on your target market, you may also need documentation for CPSIA compliance (U.S.), Lacey Act requirements (U.S.), EUDR compliance (EU), or equivalent standards in your importing country. We walk clients through these requirements as part of every furniture sourcing project.
Vietnam also benefits from several trade agreements, including the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), and RCEP, which covers trade with Japan, South Korea, Australia, and ASEAN partners. These agreements can create tariff advantages that improve landed costs, though rates change frequently, and buyers should verify the current schedule for their specific product and destination.
How to Vet a Vietnamese Furniture Manufacturer
After working with thousands of clients on sourcing projects, here is what we tell every buyer evaluating a Vietnamese furniture factory for the first time.
Visit the Factory (or Have Someone Visit on Your Behalf)
Photos and catalogs do not tell you whether the factory floor is organized, whether workers are using proper safety equipment, or whether the samples they sent you were actually produced in-house. Many factories in Vietnam subcontract portions of production to smaller workshops, and the only way to confirm actual capabilities is to see the operation firsthand. We conduct factory audits as part of our standard sourcing process. If you are sourcing from outside Vietnam, having a local team handle this is one of the most valuable steps in the process.
Request Production Samples, Not Showroom Samples
Some factories keep a set of perfect showroom pieces that do not represent actual production quality. Ask for samples pulled from a current production run. This gives you a realistic picture of what your actual order will look like, including any variation in finish, joinery, or material quality.
Verify Export History with Customs Data
A factory that claims to export to the U.S. or EU should be able to provide shipping documentation, buyer references, or customs records. Vietnam's U.S.-bound customs data is also accessible through trade data platforms like ImportYeti, which can show you actual shipment volumes, departure ports, and HS codes for any given exporter. We used this data to verify every manufacturer on this list.
Check Certifications Independently
An FSC certificate displayed on a website does not mean it is current. Verify certificate numbers directly through the issuing body. The same applies to ISO, CARB, and any other compliance certifications. Expired or fraudulent certificates are not common with established manufacturers, but they do exist, particularly with smaller operations.
Start with a Trial Order
Before committing to a large production run, place a smaller initial order to test quality, responsiveness to communication, packaging, and shipping timelines. A trial order costs more per unit but protects you from a much larger loss if the factory does not meet expectations. Most manufacturers on this list will accommodate trial orders, though MOQs and pricing will be higher than for full-production runs.
