Paradax Golf: From Concept to Best in Show
Jeff Hanning is the president of Paradax Golf, a golf equipment startup based in Fresno, California. He had designed an innovative cart golf bag with a unique mechanical system and needed to find the right manufacturing partner to bring it to life.
A complex product with no obvious factory match
Jeff's cart bag wasn't a standard soft goods product. It combined traditional bag stitching with a mechanical assembly system involving FRP rods, custom toppers, bases, wheels, and dozens of individual components. He needed a manufacturer in Vietnam that could handle both the textile work and the technical assembly, all while working with a first-time importer navigating international manufacturing.
Finding a factory capable of producing this kind of specialized, multi-component product is one of the hardest sourcing challenges there is. Jeff needed more than a supplier list. He needed a team on the ground.
End-to-end sourcing across multiple factories and product lines
Factory Sourcing and Vetting
We searched across Vietnam for factories with experience in both soft goods and hardware assembly, a rare combination. We vetted multiple options and connected Jeff with Global Sports VN, a Hanoi-area factory that became his long-term production partner.
Guided Factory Visits
Our Vietnam team arranged multiple visits with bilingual guides and private transportation across Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Hanoi, and Quang Nam. We managed logistics and provided translation at every meeting.
Multi-Component Coordination
Mechanical hardware came from one supplier, bag stitching and assembly from another. We managed communication between factories, coordinated sample development, and helped Jeff navigate the complexity of a product where everything had to fit together precisely.
Repeat Projects Across Categories
After the golf bag, Jeff came back for golf shirts, performance shorts, travel bags, and umbrellas. We sourced apparel factories and set up additional factory visits for each new category.
Best in Show at the 2023 PGA Merchandise Show
Jeff's Paradax Golf bag won the top award at the golf industry's largest annual trade event. A judge approached him afterward to offer help taking the product to market.
